We have been farming the Cheshire countryside with our close-knit team for generations. You will find The Little Cow Shed nestled in the corner of Hare Lane Farm, just a short trip from Holmes Chapel, Congleton and Sandbach. Our 'What 3 Words' location is QUALITY – FRIEND – TELEVISE. You can also find our produce over the road at Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve.
The Little Cow Shed is filled daily with gently pasteurised, unhomogenised, whole milk produced by our herd of A2 tested, grazing cows. Fill your reusable glass bottle to take home, or enjoy a milkshake in a range of delicious flavours, with a stunning view of the pasture beyond. There's a range of sweet treats and our milk also is used to make our artisan ice cream and is a vital ingredient in the best coffee in the area! You might even spot some of our girls out grazing!

OUR STORY
There’s a Big Story behind The Little Cow Shed
Herbert & Nora Dale delivered fresh milk daily to homes in the local area during the 1940’s through to the 1960’s before passing the milk round onto another local farming family to focus on their wider farming business.
They initially tended to just 18 cows, and the family farming business has continued through the next three generations. The Little Cow Shed may be new, but our experience and love for dairy farming are long-standing.
We are now coming full circle, and the Dale family are delighted to be once again able to offer fresh milk to the local community. If you would like to know more about Dale Farming, click on the logo below.
OUR MILK
It doesn't get any fresher!
Our cows are raised on the farm, enjoying a content life in the pasture. The milk is prepared on-site, just three fields away from the dairy. There are no food miles here!
Our milk tastes good because:
- Our cows are grass-fed for at least 270 days of the year and often longer. Grazing cows give the milk a superior creamy taste
- We gently pasteurise to help keep the goodness in
- Our milk Is not homogenised, meaning the cream rises to the top
- Our milk is naturally high in Omega 3, Antioxidants and Vitamin E
HOW IT WORKS
At The Little Cow Shed, we selected glass bottles in a bid to reduce plastic. Once you’ve paid a small price for the bottle, you can use it forever.
Select your glass bottle and fill it with whole milk from our chilled vending machines. Take your milk home to enjoy and store it in the fridge to stay fresh.
Please give it a gentle shake before you pour on your cornflakes.
Once you’ve finished, wash the bottle thoroughly with hot, soapy water and bring it back for more.
Payment is contactless.

Made with our delicious, creamy milk. We’ve got fantastic flavours including Sublime Strawberry, Banana and Chocolatey Heaven. We've always got a special flavour on too!

Our artisan coffee and hot chocolate is not to be missed. You'll also find a fantastic selection of handmade cakes and cookies, baked by local independent suppliers. We have reusable cups so you can come back for more!
